The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors will hold this month’s regular monthly meeting next Wednesday, Nov. 7 beginning at 7 p.m. in the colonial courthouse. The meeting, which is usually held on Tuesday night, was pushed back due to Election Day.

Board members will discuss a variety of topics, including a presentation concerning an upper crossing of the York River. The matter was brought up in many discussions several decades ago, but has not been revisited since the Coleman Bridge was expanded in the mid-1990s.

The board of supervisors has three items up for public hearing Wednesday night. The public hearing portion of the meeting will begin at 8 o’clock and will include an amendment to the zoning ordinance to allow off-premise directional signs for non-residential uses without road frontage in the Highway Corridor Overlay District; a public hearing to consider repealing Chapter 14 of the Gloucester County Code regarding riots and unlawful assemblies, and a publi...
