‘Summer on the River’ Camp registration now open

Registration is now open for St. Margaret’s School’s “Summer on the River” camp. Open to boys and girls ages 10-15, the camp will be led by Richard Moncure, S.T.R.E.A.M. Director at St. Margaret’s and the 2022 Virginia Association Independent Schools Teacher of the Year.

S.T.R.E.A.M. is the Tappahannock school’s curriculum that integrates the nearby Rappahannock River and natural surroundings with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) learning.

A typical day

Campers will learn by doing through days filled with research and fun. A typical day will include pulling crab pots, identifying river species, sailing, riding jet skis, swimming, and more.

Families can sign up for any of the four one-week sessions: June 24-28, July 8-12, July 15-19, or July 22-26. Space is limited to 20 campers per week.
