Student aid seminar to be held Oct. 11 at Gloucester Library

Gloucester High School Director of School Counseling Matthew Lord will be leading a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) seminar on Oct. 11, beginning at 4 p.m. at Gloucester County Public Library, Main Street Center.

According to Lord, this seminar is for “anybody who might be attending college next year.” High school students and adults thinking about college for next year who reside in Gloucester or any of the surrounding counties are invited to attend.

This workshop will teach those college bound how to fill out the FAFSA form online and review different types of financial aid. Lord will also teach attendees how to access and fill out the College Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile.

The goal of the seminar is for students to “just understand how to start the process,” said Lord.

People will be able to ask questions during the workshop. The FAFSA form is not due until December, but Lord said that prospective students should have it on their mind ahead of time....
