Gloucester Pickleball Club members participated in the 2023 St. Patrick’s Day tournament which was held in Virginia Beach this past weekend. More than 200 pickleball players from Virginia and Maryland gathered to play in different age groups and divisions. On Friday, John Jarvis participated in the men’s singles. He also participated on Saturday in the men’s doubles 19+ age bracket, 3.5 division and won gold with his partner, Zach Blanks. On Sunday, he played mixed doubles with his mom, Lanell Jarvis. They brought home the silver medals in the 19+ age bracket, 3.0 division. Carlos Morales played in the men’s doubles 50+ age bracket, 3.0 division on Saturday with partner Mike Raymer and won the gold medals. On Sunday, Morales partnered with Joyce Coles in the mixed doubles 50+ age bracket and 3.0 division and won the gold medals.
