In keeping with Gov. Ralph Northam’s imposed restrictions due to COVID-19, and to protect club members and the community, the Abingdon Ruritan Club is officially canceling the Seafood Festival scheduled for May 20.

Tickets purchased for the May 20 festival may be used for the club’s next festival on Oct. 21 or returned for a refund.To obtain a refund, tickets purchased with a check or cash must be returned along with a self-addressed stamped envelope. Refund requests should be mailed to Abingdon Ruritan Club, P.O. Box 22, Bena, Va. 23018 or deposited in the drop box next to the front door at the club’s building located at 8784 Guinea Road, Hayes.

PayPal customers should return their tickets along with their name and address so a credit can be issued to their credit card. The club will not be responsible for tickets lost in the mail, a release stated. It is highly recommended that anyone returning tickets should keep a record of the ticket numbers of those tickets being returned....
