Applications are being accepted through Aug. 12 from Gloucester youths ages 13 to 18 who are interested in serving a one-year term on the Gloucester Youth Commission. The term runs from Sept. 2011 to June 2012.

Youth commission members serve on board-appointed councils, committees, boards and commissions. In past years, the commission has conducted community forums, assisted with Election Central, sponsored the Outstanding Youth Awards program and conducted special events and activities to benefit youths.
