Five residents recently received citations for sheepshead catches, according to the Aug. 1 issue of vasaltwaterjournal.com. To qualify for a sheepshead citation in the Virginia Saltwater Fishing Tournament, the fish must weigh at least 10 pounds or measure at least 24 inches. Citation winners include: Jay Brown of Hayes, 10-pound, 3-ounce fish caught July 21 at York Spit Reef; Billy Flippin of Bena, 11-9 fish caught July 21 in Chesapeake Bay; Shawn Skay of Hayes, 10-5 fish caught July 21 at Back River artificial reef; Tyler Stone of Gloucester, 12-6 fish caught July 21 at Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel; and, Taylor Mitchell of Hayes, 11-9 fish caught July 19 at Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel....
