The Mathews County School Board will hold a special closed-door meeting next week to consider candidates for the position of superintendent of schools for the 2023-2024 school year.
The meeting will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, in the School Board Office. The school board is expected to make a final decision on an appointment at its regularly scheduled May 16 meeting.
