Saturday’s ‘Band Bash’ to benefit Special Olympics

A “Band Bash” to support the Special Olympics of Virginia will be held Saturday evening at Thousand Trails Campground, Gloucester. A variety of bands will play all afternoon and into the night, donating their time to the cause, according to a release.

Other bands performing include The Mullins Sisters, Chase Payne, Edison & Co. and Mixed Bag.

Along with the bands, vendors will be available as well as dinner at 5 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and what they would like to drink. Water will be available. Other activities will include a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, a “Wheel of Fortune” drawing, and a cornhole tournament. 

The cost is $10 per vehicle, to be paid at the ranger station.  ...
