SARA CATHLEEN WINSOR JOHNSON

Sara Cathleen Winsor Johnson, 82, of Williamsburg, Va., joined her husband, Farrel A. Johnson, in eternal rest on Sunday, June 6, 2021, surrounded by her family in Saluda. She was born in Louisville, Ky., the daughter of the late Arthur Henry Winsor and Edith Virginia Frances Broyles. She was a distinguished alumna of Midway College in Lexington, Ky. She retired from safety management for the U.S. Navy after a meritorious career. She matriculated in Art History from Bemidji State University in Minnesota.

She was a sister, wife, and mother of four, survived by her brother. Henry Winsor; sister, Ruth McCarthy; son, Douglas (Pamela); daughters, Karen (William McKinney) and Cathleen (Dave Schmidtz). She was predeceased by her son, Gregory. She was grandmother of four, Samantha Jordan, Amanda Ward (Jacob), Peggy Perry (Evan), and Megan McKinney. She was a great-grandmother to five, Alexander Jordan, Piper Ward, Luke Perry, and Gregory and Reese McKinney-Hanson.

The family will celebrate her life, on her birthday, this Friday, June 11. Join us for visitation from 12-1 p.m. The service will be from 1-2 p.m. at Cornerstone Fellowship Church.
