Sail Beyond Cancer

At the Gloucester Rotary Club’s March 12 meeting, Kim Lawver, executive director of Sail Beyond Cancer Virginia, shared information about the nonprofit and its mission to “Honor those challenged by cancer by harnessing the healing powers of wind, water, and sail.” Sail Beyond Cancer Virginia provides free, private sailing experiences that offer respite and connection for individuals facing cancer and their loved ones. The Rotary Club of Gloucester and the Gloucester Rotary Charitable Foundation presented Lawver with a $2,500 donation to support the 2026 Sailing Season.
