The Mathews Rotary Club will hold its 2022 Rockfish Tournament on the weekend of Dec. 10-11, with more than $4,000 in cash prizes on the line.

The registration and raffle will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, at the Piankatank Ruritan Club, Hudgins. Light food and sodas will be provided, with beer and wine available for purchase. Families of contestants are invited to attend.

Fishing will take place on Dec. 10 and 11. Anglers can choose to fish one or both days, with the lines in at sunrise. Weigh-in will be held both Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Morningstar Marinas, Hudgins, and the awards will be presented at 5 p.m. Sunday, also at Morningstar.

The registration fee is $175 per boat, with unlimited anglers aboard each boat. One fish per day, per division, per boat. Weigh-in by boat or road. Heaviest two fish wins—length breaks a tie.
