Rotarians honor James, Taylor with Paul Harris Fellow awards

Two Gloucester County residents have received special recognition from a local civic organization for demonstrating in their lives, vocations and public service, “commitments to helping persons in need.”

The two honorees backed by $1,000 contributions in the name of each to the Rotary International Foundation are Andrew James Jr. and Adam B. Taylor.

M. Howard Griffith Jr., the Gloucester club’s Rotary International Foundation chairman, said the two were selected for the recognition because their roles in the community “exemplify the humanitarian and educational objectives of the Rotary Foundation.”

James, a member of the Gloucester County Board of Supervisors, also served many years as chief of the Gloucester County Volunteer Fire Department and was owner and CEO of the former J.C. Brown Oil Company. He was sponsored for the recognition by Rotarian Cordon Davis Jr.
