Rockfish tourney

The Mathews Rotary Club held its annual Rockfish Tournament this past weekend. Twenty boats entered the tournament competing for a total of $4,000 in prizes. Aaron Inge’s boat came in first place with a total weight of 13.45 lbs., winning $2,000. A very close second was Finley Basta’s boat for a total weight of 13.40 lbs., winning $1,000. Jeremy Elliott’s boat came in third with a combined weight of 12.8 lbs., taking home $700. The Senior winner was Ben Willis (4.85 lbs.) and a Youth winner was Jack Hyde (also 4.85 lbs.) both on Jay Brown’s boat and each receiving $100. A second Youth winner Makenzie Alexander (4.3 lbs.) on Mike Alexander’s boat received $100. Ladies champ was Audrey Zerbe (7.7 lbs.) also winning $100.
