Richie Callis Adams of Kiowa, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017, at the age of 81.

She was born June 20, 1936 in Mathews, Virginia, to Roger W. and Frances Trusch Callis.

She married Paul E. Adams Sr. on Oct. 31, 1964. They made their home in Kiowa, where she was a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother. She loved sewing, embroidering and gardening, which she shared with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Adams Sr.; parents, Roger and Frances Callis; brother, Harold Callis (Vietnam), and sister, Arlene Adams.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula Maness and Renee Stoops (Richard); son, Paul E. Adams Jr.; three grandchildren, Tammy Tracey (Matt), Vanessa Crook (Justin), and Richard Stoops III; two great-grandchildren, Raylee Crook and Luke Crook; sister, Norma Jean Soles (Danny); brother, Donnie Callis (Beverly), and numerous other family members.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 25, 2017 at Chaney-Harkins Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Crook officiating. Interment was at Savanna Cemetery, Savanna, Oklahoma.
