The Bay School Community Arts Center has announced the formation of a regional clay guild. The first meeting for the fledgling guild will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Bay School on Main Street, Mathews.

The guild will be associated with, and based at, the Bay School, but will operate independently. Items to be discussed at the initial meeting include the extent of the guild/school relationship, the name of the guild, and structure and goals. Doris Hackworth, a Bay School pottery instructor and studio manager, is spearheading the start-up.

Any and all area potters and clay artists are invited and welcome to the Monday evening meeting. There will be a pot-luck supper.
