An opening reception for Arts on Main’s April show, “Aqua Flora,” will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at the gallery at 6580 Main Street in Gloucester. It is free and open to the public. The exhibit features works by artists Caroline Rowntree and Paul Rowntree. Using oil painting and digital printing, the artists focus on landscapes, taking both intimate and large-scale views to explore surface patterns, forms and color in space, said a press release. Live music will be performed by Hunter Owens. Light bites will be provided, and beer and wine will be available for purchase by cash or credit. The show will be on display through Saturday, April 30.
