The Gloucester Genealogical Society of Virginia will meet at 10 a.m. Monday in the Community Room of the Gloucester Library, Main Street Center.
The program will feature Rachael Booker Burnette in a question-and-answer format that will describe her life in Gloucester. She is a proud “Botetourt Belle” a group of women who graduated from Botetourt High School that occasionally met for lunch to celebrate their shared memories. She was involved in many Gloucester activities.
For many years, she served on the county’s historical committee, was treasurer and member of the Friends of the Museum, headed the Gloucester County Fair for 40 years, and is a member of the historical and genealogical societies.
