The Piankatank Ladies Golf Association participated in an Individual Play, Gross and Flighted contest on July 14 at the golf course at Hartfield. Winners were:

First flight—Michele Meanley (first place-scorecard playoff, 88), Gloria Matthews (second place, 88) and Mary Francisco (third place-scorecard playoff, 89). Second flight—Barbara Ronan (first place, 91), Bobbie Stuck (second place, 94) and Ann Stanley (third place, 102). Third flight—Karen Gorin (first place, 105), Vicki Carr (second place, 113) and Mary Edmonds (third place, 117).
