The Piankatank River Ladies’ Golf Association kicked off its 2024 season on April 4 at the Hartfield course. The opening day game was Captains Choice.

First place, with a score of 70, was the foursome of Nina Carter, Mary Dorman, Christy Pitts and Martha Wiggs. Colleen DeLuca, Donna Lange, Kay Stout and Jo Turek placed second with a 72. Sherri Comer, Christi Lewis and Colleen Robertson took third, also with a score of 72.
