The Piankatank Ladies Golf Association celebrated the holidays with a luncheon on Dec. 8, prepared by the kitchen and staff of The Steamboat Restaurant at Piankatank River Golf Course, Hartfield. This was an opportunity to recognize achievements and extend thanks for a successful season. Members collected items for the Compass Closet to be used by Middlesex students. Also, the club elected its 2023 officers. Officers for the coming year (left photo from left) are vice president Lynne Richardson of Hartfield, secretary Nina Carter of Gloucester, president Christy Pitts of Deltaville and treasurer Kay Lloyd of Hartfield. The winners of the team match play this year were, right photo from left, third place Mary Francisco of Hardyville and June Klink of Gloucester, second place Carole Lloyd of Deltaville and Michele Meanley of Mathews, and first place Vicky Gunn of Mathews and Christy Pitts of Deltaville.
