The Piankatank River Ladies Golf Association held a Fairways and Putts competition on Aug. 11 at the Hartfield course. Winners were:

First flight—Gloria Matthews (first place, 42), Judy Spain (second place, 40) and Mary Shields (third place, 39). Second flight—Kay Lloyd (first place, 39), Chong Hudgins (second place, 31) and Karen Gorin (third place, 29).
