The Gloucester Pickleball Club hosted a Tuesday Ladder recently. Players participated every Tuesday for several weeks earning points to place on top of the ladder. This event was held at Newington Baptist Church indoor gym. A total of 20 players participated in the three-week contest. Winners of the event are as follows: John Jarvis and Rick Parkin shared first place with the highest scores, Ricky Kinser and Billy Moore shared second place with the second highest scores. On Saturday, the club hosted a Round Robin Mixed Doubles Tournament on Saturday at the church gym. Twenty players from Hampton Roads and Middle Peninsula played for the top prize, with the team of Carlos Morales and Joyce Coles coming in first (photo at right). Other winners were Chip and Beatta Whitehead (second place), and Mike Raymer and Joanne Webb-Fary (third place).
