Bill Nachman, reporter at the Gazette-Journal since the fall of 1984, has retired. Nachman covered business, Gloucester County government, the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, and many other topics of local and regional interest during his 33-year tenure.
Taking his place in the newsroom is Pete Teagle, formerly employed in the graphics department.
Joining the paper recently are Gloria Savage, special sections representative, and D’Ann Kowitz in the front office of the Gazette-Journal’s headquarters in Gloucester Court House.
Within the company, Ana Ferreira has moved to the graphics department from the business office, and Sandy Nuttall has moved from advertising to bookkeeping, a position she formerly held for many years. ...
