Mathews Elementary School students who achieved perfect attendance during the second nine weeks of the 2023-2024 school year were recognized during the Feb. 20 Mathews County School Board meeting. “As you know, showing up is important, and these folks are doing it every day,” MES principal Cindy Gray told school board members as she presented each with a certificate.
