Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism will hold a Naturalist Paddle at Beaverdam Park on Sunday, Nov. 12, from 3-5 p.m. Participants will explore the lake and its wildlife residents.

The fee is $5 if you use your own equipment or $15 with the park’s rental equipment. This Sunday, Nov. 5 is the deadline to register.

OWL WALK An Owl Walk will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, at Beaverdam Park. The fee is $5 and the deadline to register is Nov. 10.

THE FULL HIKE: The Full Hike (a 9.5-mile trek) will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18, beginning at 10 a.m. at Beaverdam Park. Participants are encouraged to bring water and snacks, wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. The registration fee is $5 and the deadline to register is Nov. 11.

STAR WINTER GAMES: STAR Winter Games for ages 6-18 will be held on Fridays, Dec. 1 through Feb. 16 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Botetourt Elementary. STAR is an athletic games and social program for children with special needs. The fee is $15...
