All courts and county offices in Gloucester and Mathews will close at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 22, and remain closed throughout the Thanksgiving holiday, reopening for regular hours on Monday.
Schools in both counties will be closed all day Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, while DMV customer service centers will be closed all day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Gloucester libraries will close at 2 p.m. on Wednesday and remain closed Thursday and Friday, reopening for regular hours on Saturday.
Mathews Memorial Library will close at noon on Wednesday and remain closed through the weekend, reopening on Monday for regular hours.
Post offices, ABC stores, and waste facilities in both counties will be closed Thursday only for the holiday....
