NPS mobile app nearing completion

The NPS Mobile App, the first service-wide computer application for all national parks and national trails, is in the beta testing phase of development and will be ready for launch in the coming months.

Every park in the National Park System and every national historic trail will have a presence on the app. Visitors can learn about different parks, find national news and configure settings that will allow them to register for alerts and news from parks of interest.

In addition, park- and trail-specific content will be available for use online and offline. For example, if app visitors want to download information about one particular park to refer to offline at a later time, they can do so. Much of the park-specific content will be pulled dynamically from NPS.gov, while other content will be created individually by each park.
