Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad took delivery last Wednesday, July 30, of its new Engine 11, a 2025 Rosenbauer Commander custom engine ordered in 2022 for Station 1 at a cost of $694,000. The Class-A pumper has a 60-inch cab on a galvanized chassis with an aluminum body and a 6,000-pound gross weight rating. It’s powered by an L9 Cummins 450 horsepower engine, paired with an Allison 3000 fully automatic transmission. The Waterous pump is rated at 1,500 gallons per minute, pumping from a 1,000-gallon tank.
