Pickleball league play in Williamsburg wrapped up the weekend of Dec. 17-18. MidPen 804 Picklers, a team from Gloucester and Mathews, placed in all categories for intermediate play in the six-week league. Seventy-six players made up 16 teams to compete in three categories. Team captain Jill Smith paired with her husband Andy Smith (Gloucester), while the mother/son duo of Lanell Jarvis and John Jarvis (Dutton) completed the team. MidPen 804 Picklers took first place overall, as they tallied the most points participating in all three events. The women took third place in Women’s Doubles, the men took second place in Men’s Doubles, and all four players took turns competing to earn first place in Mixed Doubles.
