The Mathews High School volleyball program will be in full swing on Saturday when the Lady Devils host the 2025 Mathews Jamboree, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Mathews High School gymnasium.
Volleyball teams from York, Woodside, Phoebus and Hampton will compete against the host Devils, with Mathews facing York in the first game at 9 a.m. Each team will play two sets, regardless of the outcome.
Per VHSL rules, there will be a $10 admission charge. You may reenter. Concessions will be available, including drinks and breakfast and lunch items.
The Mathews JV and varsity teams open the regular season on Wednesday, Aug. 27, against the visiting Colonial Beach Drifters. The JV game begins at 5:30 p.m., with the varsity contest starting at 7.
