Blue Devil Fabian Cardenas races downfield in last Wednesday’s game against Northumberland. The MHS varsity soccer team defeated the visiting Indians, 3-2, thanks in large part to Cardenas, a sophomore, who scored two of the Mathews goals. Senior Carson Brown provided the other MHS score. On Monday, the Devils will travel to King William to face the Cavaliers, with the JV game starting at 5:30 and the varsity at 7. Next Wednesday, April 27, Mathews will host West Point in another JV/varsity matchup.
