The Mathews High School Music Department invites the community to attend its Coffee House Jazz night on Wednesday, March 25, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the MHS cafeteria. The MHS Jazz Ensemble will perform along with other student groups and a special performance by Mathews Community Jazz Combo featuring MHS alumni and professional musicians in the area. Tickets are $10 at the door for adults, $5 for children ages 5 to 12, littles are free. Coffee, tea, hot cocoa and baked goods are available, and donations are appreciated, a release stated. There will be several items available for raffle including a gift certificate for 5 Star Oriental Medicine, a fully stocked picnic basket, camping grill and some sweet treats from The Bakery at Muddy Acres.
