MHS boys finish season undefeated

The Mathews High School boys’ cross country team finished its regular season last Wednesday, Oct. 20, at its home course, Beaverdam Park, undefeated with a 27-0 record.

The boys won last week’s meet against West Point, King William and Rappahannock (forfeit) with a team score of 19. Cameron Stearns came in first place with a time of 16:29. Seth James took second with a time of 18:31, followed by Carson Brown in third (18:39) and Dylan White in fourth (18:55).

Jaxon McDonald ran a 19:21, followed by Chance Higginbotham (JV) (19:22), Andrew Greve (19:29), Henry Sowers (JV) (19:41), Blake Hunley (JV) (19:51), Gavin Dustin (20:00), Salvador Cardenas (JV) (20:04), Grayson Camp (20:06), Adam Dustin (JV) (21:49), Noah Hurst (JV) (22:03), Elias Hidalgo (JV) (22:10), Zachary Salvadori (JV) (22:28), Franklin Cardenas (JV) (22:41), Fabian Cardenas (23:35), Stanley Ouma (JV) (24:19), Adam Greve (JV) (25:19), James Allen Morgan (JV) (26:38) and Asher Raub (JV) (29:02).
