Around 50 people gathered on Gloucester’s Colonial Courthouse Circle last Thursday to commemorate International Workers Day/May Day and to “stand up for workers’ rights around the world,” said Sara Troxel, secretary of the Gloucester Democratic Committee. Committee chair Pam Garner said the protest wasn’t about party affiliation, but was held “to give people a chance to have a voice and a presence.” Below one of the signs on display.
