The fall sports season is almost upon us. Coach Pat Moughon (back to camera) and her Lady Devil volleyball players held their first week of tryouts/practice last week. She had a total of 33 players come out for JV and varsity. Mathews is scheduled to host its first preseason scrimmage next Thursday, Aug. 22, against Lancaster (JV starts at 5:30 p.m., varsity begins at 7). The following Saturday, Aug. 24, Mathews will host its varsity Jamboree, with the Devils welcoming teams from Bethel, Denbigh, Woodside and York, beginning at 9 a.m. The regular season begins on Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Colonial Beach....
