Mathews supervisors take no action on broadband committee

Mathews supervisors took no action last month on a proposal to establish a committee of residents to look into options for bringing high-speed internet to homes and businesses throughout the county.

Supervisor Amy Dubois has suggested establishing such a committee a number of times, saying that there is a great deal of information coming from the federal government, that grants are available for broadband, and that there are experts in the county who would be willing to make recommendations about ways to expand access to high-speed internet.
