Mathews County School Board members will meet next week for a day-long retreat to get ready for the coming year.

Board members will gather in the John Warren Cooke Conference Room of Mathews Memorial Library on Thursday, Jan. 12 for the meeting that will be facilitated virtually by Virginia School Boards Association staff.

The meeting will run from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., with VSBA Executive Director Gina Patterson and Deputy Executive Director Samantha Bosserman leading the discussion. Topics include a discussion of member roles and responsibilities, and a review of current board norms and protocols.
