Two members of the Piankatank River Ladies Golf Association recently teed up for a golf match. With bragging rights on the line and after weeks of anticipation and more than a little friendly banter, Julie Whitaker and Gina Custis faced off on Nov. 11. Members from the PRLGA and friends were invited to attend and join the camaraderie. Competition was intense, the weather perfect and the crowd focused on every stroke. The match went down to the wire, with Custis emerging as the winner. The spectators were treated to a victory celebration following the match hosted by Whitaker and Custis.
