Mary Elizabeth “Toni” Surrey, 83, of James Store, Virginia, passed away at her home on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020. A native of Ohio, Toni had lived with her husband at James Store for 35 years. She retired as a bookkeeper from Southern States in Gloucester. Toni enjoyed swimming and exercising at the Wellness Center.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Neil Surrey; sons, John Cawley and Michael Surrey (Tammy); daughters, Jodi Smith (Michael) and Michelle Dabkowski (Todd); a brother, Bill Croskey; sisters, Ann Turner and Jane Croskey; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 250 Williams Street NW, Suite 600, Atlanta, Ga. 30303-1032. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, is assisting the family.
