Sixteen Little League baseball and softball teams from Middlesex and Mathews squared off over the weekend at Deltaville Ballpark. The seventh annual “Little League Day at Deltaville Ballpark” event transforms the 76-year-old wooden ballpark into a Little League-sized field. Deltaville Ballpark was one of the original fields used by Middlesex Little League in the 1950s. The Saturday night finale between Middlesex and Mathews Senior League teams was postponed due to storms, and will be played this Friday at 7 p.m. Left, Mathews third baseman Marley Brock tags out a sliding Middlesex runner.
