Gloucester County Public Library will hold its eighth annual Comix Con next Saturday, Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at its Main Street Center location. This event is free and open for the public to attend.
This year there will be a Twin Spin and log games, as well as handcrafted items from the Village Blacksmith, Artfully Yours and Getting Nerdy with Duct Tape. Check out retro video games from Treasure Fox and comic-themed items from More Than Cake. Jersey’s Cards & Comics will also be selling original artwork.
The event will also include a drawing exercise on “How to Draw Your Manga Face,” as well as a game of Dungeons & Dragons. The Old Dominion Daleks will be seen traveling throughout the library.
In the community room, there will be special presentations by Savgr Viking and Orclarp. Jefferson Grant Spears will speak on “Martial Arts Media Versus Reality,” which will include a demonstration.
