Letter: Time to replace Wittman

On Dec. 10, 2020, our Congressman, Rob Wittman, signed an amicus brief, along with 125 other House Republicans, asking the U.S. Supreme Court, to allow a lawsuit filed by the state of Texas seeking to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, all swing states, where President Biden defeated former President Trump. Is this who we want to represent us in Congress? Time to replace Rob Wittman!

On Thursday, July 21, Rob Wittman was one of 195 U.S. Congressmen who voted against “The Right to Contraception Act.” This act codifies access to contraception on the federal level, allowing people to obtain and use birth control, while also safeguarding a healthcare providers’ ability to supply such products. Being able to use and obtain contraception, to me, should be a basic right of any female of reproductive age.
