Letter: Survey presupposes residents favor urban development

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

The survey sent to residents of Gloucester Point by the Gloucester Planning Department is basically flawed in that the assumption is made that people at the Point favor urban development and only debate the types of changes to be made. This survey is a sort of "push-poll" intended to create the illusion that a consensus exists where one does not.

The Gloucester Point area is a suburban residential community. The volume of traffic here is great enough already without more local development. People have relocated from the Peninsula to escape urban blight, not to bring it with them.
