Editor, Gazette-Journal: Vote “Yes” to the 1 percent sales tax as proposed and the need explained to us at a recent meeting so ably and precisely by Dr. David Daniel. It was my first time meeting him, though I knew of him from the Gazette-Journal and such good articles about him, our school board, another reason you should subscribe to this paper. Dr. Daniel is plainspoken and easy to listen to. We should be grateful at this time to have him in leadership. Let us move forward and do all we can to improve our county and schools. I would like to say thank you to my organization for inviting him to speak. If your organization has not invited him, you’re missing out. As I said, he’s very friendly, down-to-earth and easy to understand. You’ll like him. Come on, Mathews County.
