Letter: Mixed emotions over display’s removal

As I read the article about the Gay Pride display being removed from the Gloucester Public Library, I felt mixed emotions. I applaud Christians for standing up for the teachings of the Bible. The Bible is very explicit on God’s views on homosexuality. Unfortunately, we are individuals and differ in our opinions. Although we may not accept this lifestyle, we are beginning to understand, through education and the media, that many people have different beliefs than ourselves.

Since this is a public library and not titled as a Christian library, providing that the display was done in good taste, it should not be banned, nor should any other material that may differ from the beliefs of the majority.
