I am pleased to write this letter of support for April Edwards, candidate for Mathews County Sheriff. April Edwards has dedicated her life to serving those within the community as well as protecting the innocence of children everywhere.

I became acquainted with April as part of a criminal case in which my child was a victim. In 2020, April was assigned a human trafficking case involving another young victim and as a result of a very lengthy and thorough investigation involving several other law enforcement entities, both state and federal, it was revealed that there were numerous other victims located throughout the country. It was with absolute tenacity that she was able to identify an individual which ultimately led to his arrest and later conviction.

If not for the sheer drive of April Edwards to find this dangerous man, I am certain that there would have been countless other child victims.
