Letter: A good deed appreciated

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

On Saturday, May 31, I attended the Symphony Under the Stars concert in Gloucester Court House. I am 84 years old, have a slight handicap (knee) so some trouble walking, especially after dark. I had parked at the school parking lot, where there was a sign for “concert parking”; no mention of “handicapped parking.” As I walked heading for the concert site, I saw signs for handicapped parking, but too late. There was no point in walking back to get my car then.

On the way back to my car after the concert, two Boy Scouts came along, accompanied me (carried my chair) until I was safely back in my car. I regret that I didn’t get their names, but I was impressed with their help, courtesy and demeanor. A tribute to the organization and especially to these two young men.
