Largemouth bass being caught at Beaverdam

Largemouth bass are being caught by anglers fishing from boats at Beaverdam Park, according to park ranger Elizabeth Keefer. Many bass caught in the past week have been in the 4- to 6-pound range. Other recent reports include chain pickerel and catfish. One angler caught a length and weight citation white perch.

The latest water temperature reading was 60 degrees.

Beaverdam Park is open daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the remainder of the month. The park has live minnows and nightcrawlers for sale. For more information, call the Ranger Station at 804-693-2107.
