Kraken, Blacksox split doubleheader

The Baystars Kraken 10U baseball team hosted the Blacksox North from Chesapeake on Sunday at Ark Park, with the teams splitting a doubleheader.

The Kraken took down the visitors in the first game, 13-3. Conner Lee was the Baystars’ leadoff pitcher. In three innings, he struck out five batters and gave up only one run on no hits.

In the win, Jayden Webb and Duke Hamm led the team in runs with three each. Easton Scott recorded two runs and four RBIs on three hits. William Rousseau, Wesley Falkenberg, Benjamin Patterson, Conner Lee and Carter Symonds each record one run apiece.

In the second game, the Blacksox took the lead early and the Kraken was unable to stage a comeback, falling 7-4. Scott again recorded two runs in the second game. Rousseau and Symonds scored one each.
